Note: This is a first-pass template drafted for the portal. Please have it reviewed by legal counsel — especially if you operate in jurisdictions with specific privacy requirements (California, Virginia, Colorado, EU, etc.) — before relying on it in production.
Premier Paws Pet Care, LLC("Premier Paws", "we") cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the client portal at portal.premierpawspetcare.com(the "Portal"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Portal and provide care:
- Account details: name, email, phone number, and (optionally) mailing address.
- Pet details: your pet's name, species, breed, age, vet contact, medical and behavioral notes, and photos you upload.
- Service data: requests, visit history, notes exchanged with our team, and ratings you leave.
- Technical data: basic logs like IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit on the Portal. We use this for security and to fix bugs.
We do not collect or store payment card information in the Portal. Billing is handled separately.
2. How we use it
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Portal.
- To schedule and deliver pet-care services you request.
- To communicate with you about bookings, account issues, and service updates.
- To keep the Portal secure and investigate suspected fraud or abuse.
- To improve the Portal and develop new features.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with:
- Our team members who need it to care for your pet or operate the business (e.g. walkers, schedulers, administrators).
- Service providers that power the Portal — hosting (Vercel), database and storage (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and error monitoring — under contracts that require them to safeguard your data.
- Law enforcement or regulatorswhen we're required to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the safety of people, pets, or property.
- Successor entitiesin the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (we'll notify you if this happens).
4. Cookies and similar tech
The Portal uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated and we'll surface a cookie-choice banner.
5. Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active and as needed to provide service. When you ask us to delete your account, we will either delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal or tax reasons.
6. Your choices
You can:
- View and update your profile and pet information in the Portal at any time.
- Request a copy of your personal data by emailing info@premierpawspetcare.com.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data, subject to the limits above.
- Opt out of non-essential email communications via the unsubscribe link in those messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or EU/UK GDPR. Contact us at the email above and we'll help you exercise them.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, row-level access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, though. If we discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you per applicable law.
8. Children
The Portal is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, when reasonable, emailed to you.
